About Shop It To Me

Consider Shop It To Me your free personal shopper for sales of clothing, shoes, jewelry and accessories. Choose your favorite clothing brands (such as Prada, DKNY, Theory, BCBG, Chip & Pepper, Banana Republic etc...) and individual sizes. Shop It To Me will search the websites of leading retailers and email a daily or weekly summary of new items that go on sale in your size.

Shop It To Me has been featured in publications like Daily Candy Deals, Glamour, InStyle and The Washington Post and is described as "a pick-me-up in the morning", "addictive" and " dangerous " with the caveat "boyfriends and husbands beware!"

Job responsibilities:

• Manage ongoing public relations and marketing plan for Shop It To Me, including creating and maintaining the corporate message, promoting new Shop It To Me products and offerings, and spreading the word in targeted media.
• Develop and place stories to journalists in the lifestyle/fashion space in targeted media and manage relationships with media contacts in that space.
• Coordinate all media interviews, requests, reservations, photos shoots, radio drops, special events, etc.
• Manage overall media contacts including database updates and distribution of press materials to media.
• Secure ongoing press coverage in the mass media and lifestyle/fashion-based publications.
• Build and maintain corporate press kit.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional public relations experience in a public relations agency or corporation specifically for lifestyle and fashion-based consumer goods.
• Substantial exiting relationships with media contacts within numerous lifestyle and fashion publications.
• Hands-on, creative, self-starting, optimistic attitude.
• Bachelors degree in journalism, communications, marketing, business or a related field.
• Loves the Shop It To Me service (http://www.shopittome.com).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and HTML.
