Vintage Fashion Trends Making A Comeback

Fashion trends are so predictable. What's old is always new again.

But of course, all fashion trends are tweaked to better fit the current fashion atmosphere.

Famous shopping app, Shop It To Me, is about to break down 2022's version of the hottest vintage reboots from current brands . . .

Y2K is having a huge moment, a la our recent blog post Y2K Inspired Outfits.

This year's vintage trends look very old but very sexy. Never thought you'd wear a pearl necklace? Try again. Keep reading, you'll see.

Waist Cinching Corsets

Celebrities of the moment including Kourtney Kardashian, Rita Ora, and Megan Fox, just to name a few, have all been snapped rocking their favorite corsets.

Wear the below chic corsets layered over a shirt or all by themselves.

Miaou, Dion Lee, Cotton Citizen, and Maison Margiela all make excellent unique corsets for the modern woman.

Platform Shoes

Ariana Grande is forever a fan of platform heels and 2022 vintage fashion trends definitely include this chunky disco style heel, along with some simpler 90's sandal versions.

We choose both, platform heels (especially mary-jane styles) for our night escapades, and platform slides for our daily duties.

Cult favorite brands including Giuseppe Zanotti, rag & bone, Malone Souliers, Maison Margiela, Givenchy, and Versace all created stellar platform shoes for 2022, bringing the vintage trend back yet again.

Skin Tight Mesh Tops

Vintage fashion brand JPG, Jean Paul Gaultier, is having a huge resurgence in the fashion world and he's famous for his graphic mesh tops.

Below are some of Gaultier's current mesh tops, along with some other super brands including streetwear brand Marine Serre and Raquel Allegra.

Pearl Necklaces

Pearl necklaces are normally associated with extreme elegance and older sophistication, but vintage brands like Vivienne Westwood have put their modern spin on the vintage trend (a la a crystal orb).

We also love the layered pearl choker look matched with a corset and denim jeans.

The Dolce & Gabbana necklace featured isn't exactly a pearl necklace, but it's definitely a victorian type tiered necklace that is a vintage throwback trend for this year.

Tiger Print

Some people hate them and some people love them, and regardless of where you stand on this very pressing topic, try a tiger print this year. Tiger print, along with actual tigers, is hot for 2022.

Check out these animal printed pieces from brands Dsquared2, Dundas, Philosophy, and Camila Coelho.

We hope you enjoyed our take on what's hot right now in the current fashion world— which is actually the "old" fashion world.

Romantic styles are in, with both corsets and pearl chokers heavily filling our Instagram feeds; also the current crave for tattoo-style tops and sky high heels, topped off with a little animal print that hasn't really come around in a while— the tiger print.

In our eyes, as long as something is well-fitting, sometimes it doesn't even matter the pattern. As long as the silhouette is sexy, the rest kind of just flows. Basically, as long as you are wearing the trends and the trends aren't wearing you, you're golden.
